Driving Lenses

Whether driving for business or for leisure it is important that you have lenses that respond to the varying conditions when on the road. At Roger Pope & Partners, two of the most common lenses for driving that we provide are Drivewear lenses and DriveSafe lenses.

DriveSafe Lenses help the wearer to:

  • Judge distances and driving situations more quickly,
  • Improve your vision at night,
  • Reduce irritations caused by reflected lights and
  • Ensure you can quickly and easily adjust your viewing focus to your driving surroundings.

Skiing lenses

Much like cycling performance lenses, ski goggles or ski lenses, have been specially designed to respond to the requirements of Winter sports enthusiasts. Winter sports enthusiasts are at increased risk for overexposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The combination of higher altitude and UV rays reflected by the snow puts skiers and snowboarders at an increased risk of sun damage to the eyes. At an altitude of 9,000 to 10,000 feet, UV radiation may be 35 to 45 percent more intense than at sea level. In addition, snow reflects up to 80 percent of the UV light from the sun, meaning that you are often hit by the same rays twice.

At Roger Pope and Partners we are proud to stock a comprehensive range of ski goggles that offer superior protection from potentially harmful UV rays. The specially designed range of ski goggles by industry leader Adidas have been specifically developed to reduce the impact of UV rays to your eyes. Whatsmore, the goggles are designed to comfortably fit around your head (and head protection should you use it). Not only do the ski goggles offer a comfortable fit but they also offer enhanced physical protection compared to sunglasses should any unwanted objects, such as stones, fly towards your eyes.

Golfing Lenses

Golfing lenses are a popular choice for golfers who are often exposed to vast amounts of sunlight, changes between light and shadow and contrast that all can have a negative performance on one’s performance. Traditional spectacles and sunglasses may not be able to respond to these demanding conditions whereas golfing lenses have been designed to provide relief from the aforementioned conditions allowing you to fully focus on your game. Golfing spectacles feature large, wrap lenses, protecting your vision from harsh UV light and allowing for better contrast perception, a curved frame for comfort and are lightweight.
